TWO FACTORS THAT INCREASES THE FRICTION:

1) Nature of the surface:
If the surface is rough and has more ups and downs will increase the friction as when a object is rolled/slided the surface and the object get interlocked in a very short intervals of time.

2) Mass of the object:
If the mass of the object increases it applies more force and stops in very short intervals of time.

a) if roughness of surface is more then friction increases

b)as normal force is proportional to friction , if normal force increases friction increases


c) friction also depends on mass of object
