The two gases of air which dissolve in water are oxygen and carbon dioxide.
The oxygen is dissolved in water so that fishes can take in oxygen through water to breathe, this is the biological importance of this process in nature.

Carbon dioxide dissolves in water. Fizzy drinks contain carbon dioxide dissolved in water. In nature this process helps to regulate world's carbon dioxide supplies as the gas dissolves in water.

Hope this helps you
