Ionised gas also known as Plasma a fundamental state of matter just like solid, liquid and gases. What is special about Ionised gases is that they do not exist naturally on earth. the reason behind that is they exist at a high temperature and sometimes pressure. these conditions are hard to maintain in open atmosphere.
A simplest example of ionised gas (or scientific term Plasma ) is a mixture of H+ ionised gas and -vely charged electrons.
Highly energetic positively charged gases with High energy electrons mixture are called as Plasma. They can be generated though eg. when lightning strikes, it generates high temperatures upto 5000 degree celsius for an instant. at that moment, gas surrounding the cloud gets ionised i.e transfer of electrons takes place.
Another example of ionised gases can be found in Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT Monitors, TV sets, Tube lights etc. ).
