The two types of democracies are:
1) Direct democracy
2) Representative democracy
Representative democracy is more prevalent in the world as the population of most of the countries are really high and all cannot participate in the decision making as it becomes too inconvenient for a large population to share its views on a law. In all direct democracies are too time consuming and can only be implemented in villages with less population.
