Two main parts of Hind brain are:
1) Cerebellum: It is the second largest part of the brain, also called little brain. It is present below the cerebrum about the Medulla oblongata and behind pons.
It is responsible for precision of voluntary actions and maintenance of equilibrium and posture of body; like walking in a straight line, riding a bicycle and even picking up a pencil.
All these activities are possible due to the cerebellum. Cerebellum modulates or modifies the voluntary movements initiated by cerebral hemispheres.
2) Medulla oblongata : It is the posterior most part of the brain and is located beneath the cerebellum. It controls involuntary functions of the body through a number of centers like Cardiac Centre, respiratory Centre, Vasomotor Centre, Salivary Centre, etc. It also controls coughing, sneezing, vomiting, urination, blood pressure, gut persistalsis, swallowing of food etc. Midbrain, pons and medulla from the brain stem.
