Mammals in simple words are a class of animals like Fish, Amphibians and etc. There are few characteristics that every mammal has in common and they are as follows:

-> They all have hairs on their body.  

-> They are warm-blooded animals.  

-> Females of this class have mammary glands, which they use for providing their young-ones with milk.  

There are only a few mammals who lay eggs in order to give rise to their next generation and amongst them are Platypus and Echidna.
