Amongst the alloys found in native state have been brass, bronze, pewter, German silver, osmiridium, electrum, white gold, and silver-mercury andgold-mercury amalgam. Only gold, silver, copper and the platinum metals occur in nature in large amounts.

Gold and platinum are found in nature in the free state.

• Most of the metals in the periodic table are extremely reactive and that's why we found the metals in chemical compound form in the nature.

• But,there are some extremely less reactive metals like gold, platinum etc.

• Due to the less reactive nature of these metals,we can easily find them in their free state in the nature.
