Name two metals which will displace hydrogen from dilute acids, and two metals which will not.

K will displace H2 from dilute acids and Ag and Pt will not displace H2 in dilute acid.

Metals that are more reactive than hydrogen displace it from dil. acids

Ex:Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium

Metals that are less reactive than hydrogen do not displace it from dil. acids

Ex:Copper, Silver, Gold, Platinum
