Potassium, Sodium and Calcium will displace Hydrogen from acids (like H Cl).

Silver, Copper, Gold , Platinum do not replace Hydrogen from dilute acids (like H Cl).

This is so because of the reactivity of Hydrogen being more or less than those metals.

Metals that are more reactive than hydrogen displace it from dilute acids. For example: sodium and potassium. Metals that are less reactive than hydrogen do not displace it. For example: copper and silver.
