Mesolithic period inl history is referred as the earliest Holocene culture that occured before agriculture hsd started. The two regions amongst few are 1)Bagor in Rajasthan is the largest Mesolithic site in India. Other major sites in Rajasthan are Tilwara, Pachpadra basin and Sojat Area etc.

2) In Guajarat, mesolithic sites include those on banks of river Sabarmati such as Akhaj, Valsana, Hirpur, Langhanj etc.
