Vulture
Crow
Condor
goannas
Sand fleas
maggots
jackal
They eats dead organisms and keeps our environment clean.
When animals die, their dead carcass is then left on the ground in order to rot. These rotting carcasses, if left around untouched, would then rot away into the Earth. Animal carcasses contain something called carrion, which is just the flesh of the dead animal. Carrion could sometimes contain toxic bacteria that could do serious harm to the soil and the environment around it. The reason why scavengers are so important, is that they come and eat all of the remaining carrion (flesh) that is left on the carcass. This action seems like a gross and unnatural way of life, but the benefits prove more important in order to keep our ecosystem the cleanest it could possibly be. Society tends to put its own twist on to some things in our ecosystem and one of those misconceptions is that scavengers are extremely beneficial to our environment.
