- The cells of this type of tissue help in increasing the girth and height of the plant.
Permanent tissue:
- This type of tissue is also known as Non-Meristematic type tissue.
- Such tissues are matured tissues and are incapable of diving actively. Hence, they are termed permanent tissues.
- There are various types of permanent tissues that perform different specialized functions.
- For example Parenchyma, Sclerenchyma, and Collenchyma are different types of permanent tissues.
