as we know that the plains are formed due to erosion of Mountains and by the de composition of sediments brought by the rivers like ganga yamuna and all
and the costal plains are also formed due to decomposition of sediments brought by water bodies from Eastern and Western ghats respectively
they both are fertile and good for agricultural in northern plains alluvial soil is found which is good for rice wheat and all where as in costal plains the soil is good for spices
