There are 3 Types of Discount;

Trade discount, Quantity discount, and. Cash discount.

1. Trade discount: a discount on the retail price of something allowed or agreed between traders or to a retailer by a wholesaler.

2. Quantity discount: A quantity discount is an incentive offered to a buyer that results in a decreased cost per unit of goods or materials when purchased in greater numbers. A quantity discount is often offered by sellers to entice customers to purchase in larger quantities.

3. Cash discount: A cash discount is a deduction allowed by some sellers of goods or by some providers of services in order to motivate customers to pay within a specified time. The cash discount is also referred to as an early payment discount.
