A famous person to themselves, they don't get up in the morning and think, I'm famous. I'm not famous to me. Famous is a perception.

Answer:

Nana Saheb:

Nana Saheb was born in Kanpur and was a Peshwa (ruler) who led the Revolt in Kanpur during the Great Revolt of 1857. His real name was Nana Govind Dhondu Pant. He was adopted by the Peshwa Baji Rao II in 1827 who was childless.

After the 3rd Anglo-Maratha war, Baji Rao II was living with his adopted son in his estate and he was given pension by the British.

Unfortunately, the Doctorine of Lapse established by Dalhousie, any British conquered state in India without the king, the heir would be annexed by the British.

As the Peshwar had adopted sons, and despite his will being stated as the heir, British refused to give pension to Nana Saheb. This humiliated him and made him to take part in the Revolt of 1857.

A famous slogan of him is as follows:

"A famous person to themselves, they don't get up in the morning and think, I'm famous. I'm not famous to me. Famous is a perception."
