Nancy is standing at point a facing north. she walks 50 meters to her right and takes a left turn and walks another 40 meters, then she walks 30 meters to her left again and then 20 meters to her right. ln which direction is she standing from her starting point?

As we can see, Nancy is standing at point A facing north.
Her movement should be tracked with the help of map diagram like I've posted.

From the figure, we can see that, Nancy is standing at destination point facing north again.

Let,
a = total vertical distance
b = total horizontal distance

Total distance from starting point is-
s = √(a^2 + b^2)
s = √(60^2 + 20^2)
s = √(3600+400)
s = √(4000)
s = 63.24 m

Therefore, Nancy is standing at destination point facing north 63
24 m from starting point.
