Let say Nancy Had = $ N

Spent on Dress  = $ 255

Remaining Money = $ (N-255)

Spent 1/7 of remaining Money

= (1/7)(N - 255) $

Left money = $ (N-255) - (1/7)(N - 255)    = (6/7)(N - 255) $

Left Money = 3N/5  $

Equating both

3N/5  = (6/7)(N - 255) $

=> 7N = 10N - 2550

=> 3N = 2550

=> N = 850

SHE HAVE AT FIRST  = $ 850
