Nanoparticles are submicron-sized polymeric colloidal particles with therapeutic agents of interest encapsulated or dispersed within their polymeric matrix or adsorbed or conjugated onto the surface. Commonly used synthetic polymers to preparenanoparticles for drug delivery are generally biodegradable
