When Sodium Hydroxide ( NaOH ) reacts with Carbon Dioxide ( CO2 ) , the product is Sodium Bicarbonate ( Na2CO3 ) and water ( H2O ).

Reaction :

2 NaOH + CO2 ==> Na2CO3 + H2O
