Answer:

the p(OH-) = log (2.87 x 10^-4)

                  =  log (2.87) + log (10^-4)

                  =   0.457 - 4log (10)

                  =   0.457 - 4

                  =   -3.54

as you may know p(H) + p(OH) = 14

the p(H+) will be 14-3.54 = 10.46

hope this helps love

have an amazing day!!!

The pH of the solution  is 10.457

The pH of the solution is the measure of acidity or basicity of the solution.

Explanation:

Given -The concentration of [OH-] is 2.87× 10⁻⁴

we have to find pH of solution =?

where the formula of pH=-log[H⁺] and

⇒pOH=-log[OH⁺]⇒pOH=-log[ 2.87× 10⁻⁴]

⇒pOH=3.54

⇒pH+pOH=14

⇒pH+3.54=14

pH =10.457

The calculated value ofOH is found to be10.457
