Hey there,

The effects of the French revolution were far- reaching not only for France but for the whole world. It was because of this Revolution that democracy gained encouragement and the concepts of liberty, Equality, and Fraternity became popular.

It gaves rise to Napoleon Bonaparte who became the emperor of France in 1804. Napoleon Bonaparte has been called " The child of the Revolution" . He accomplished many victories. He considered himself as a moderniser of Europe. He introduced a number of significant laws such as a uniform system of weights and measures and the protection of private property. At first, the people in the subjugated countries took Napoleon as a liberator who would bring freedom for the people. But soon his armies came to be viewed as an invading force. He entangled Europe in a long chain of wars which came to an end only when he met his fall at Waterloo in 1815.

Napoleon introduced several changes to make the administrative system more efficient in the territories ruled by him.

★ he formulated the civil code of 1804, also known as Napoleonic code.

★ it did away with privileges based on birth.

★ this law established equality before law, and also secured the right to property.

★ Napoleon shortened administrative divisions, and freed peasants from manorial dues and serfdom.

★ Transport and Communications were improved too.

hopes it helps ^_^
