GOOD EVENING

"Napoleon had destroyed democracy in France but in the administrative field, he had incorporated revolutionary principles in order to make the whole system more rational and efficient.”

The Civil Code of 1804 or Napoleonic Code abolished privileges by birth, introduced equality before law and incorporated right to property.

He also abolished feudal systems in other parts of Europe and liberated the peasants from serfdom and manorial dues.

The traditional guild system was also abolished.

The transportation system was improved.

Uniform currencies, measurements in many regions reduced the time consumption and relieved the traders.

Easy transport of good due to common currency from one region to another.

He even improved and modified the administrative divisions in Switzerland, Italy,Germany, Dutch Republic
