Answer:

(A) The side length of square is 10.14 cm

(B) The side length of square is 6.10 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The largest square is drawn in circle

The side length of square = 0.707 time diameter of circle

let The side length of square = A unit

And diameter of circle = d unit

So, A = 0.707 d                   ......1

According to question

(a) The diameter of circle = 14.35 cm

So, side of square = A = 0.707 × 14.35

i.e A = 10.14 cm

Hence, The side length of square is 10.14 cm Answer

(b)  The diameter of circle = 8.63 cm

So, side of square = A = 0.707 × 8.63

i.e A = 6.10 cm

Hence, The side length of square is 6.10 cm Answer
