so total cost price= 10.80×4
=43.20 rupees
she sold each do zen at 80 paise
so total selling price=80 paise *4
=240 paise
=2.4 rupees
loss= c.p-s.p
=43.20-2.40
=40.8
loss%=[40.8/43.20]*100

We have,
Cost Price of 1 Dozen pencil = Rs 10.80
Cost Price of 1 pencil = Rs 10.80/12 = Rs 0.90
Selling price of each pencil = Rs 0.80
Selling price < Cost price
Find the Loss :-
Loss = C.P - S.P
= Rs (0.90 - 0.80)
= Rs 0.10
Find the Loss % :-
Loss % = (loss × 100)/C.P %
= (0.10 × 100)/0.90 %
= 10/0.90 %
= 11.11 % approx.
Answer : Loss % = 11.11%
