What is it like when its your birthday but the person you want to celebrate with is not there. Same is my experience. A birthday comes only once in a year and everyone wants to be surrounded by family and friends, get surprises so did I. It was my 10th birthday and I was excited about it for weeks, counting everyday remaining day left. But just the day before my birthday my father said he had to go on a business trip. I stubbornly asked him to refuse his boss, my mother tried to calm me down but in vain. In the evening my father left for the airport and I was there with cheeks puffed up. Somewhere in my heart I could feel that he didn't really want to go. The next day my mother woke me up and wished me. I had freshened up and taken her blessings than my father's call came he wished me but I was still upset then. In the evening when my birthday party was held everyone was there greeting me, giving me gifts ; everyone except my father. But a surprise awaited me. A little after my mother called me to come and blow the candles and when I did the first one to wish me happy birthday was my father I ran over and hugged him. My father informed me that his meeting was canceled therefore his business trip ended earlier and he came to surprise me. At last I cut the cake and my father gave me a gift.
