I tried to start the bike but in vain . It just would not start. I was already late for my interview and here the bike would not by no means start. However much I tried it was of no use.
A passer by happened to walk past. I asked him to tilt the bike while I tried to figure out what went wrong. I checked the inside out of the bike but to no avail.
Suddenly the passer by let out a scream and let go the bike. It crashed along with me . The sound it made attracted the attention of the people in the neighbourhood.
Some tried to lift the bike from over me while the others were mere bystanders watching me. I was about to to haul myself to my feet when the people who were helping me shrieked and let go the bike again.
I fell a second time and writhed in pain. In the mean time one of the people dialled a number. I wondered who was being called!
Soon a jeep arrived and two men boarded from the vehicle. They had twisted rods in their hands. Slowly they came towards me. I wondered what they were going to do. Were they going to strike me, what had I done to cause their wrath!
They got closer to me. I begged them for mercy. They looked straight my way and slowly raised my bike. They held out their hand and slowly helped me up my feet.
I stared awestruck at them. Then one of them shouted 'Action'. Both with their bifurcated rods slowly started opening the bike engine. As I gaped with my mouth wide open, they slowly lifted the hatch and immediately sprung out a huge snake.
The snake hissed angrily at the men with a large spread hood. It was a venomous cobra.
The men slowly caught the snake and stuffed it in a gunny sack. All standing round let out a huge round of applause.
The man who had been telephoning then explained that when he was trying to lift my bike he had spotted an electric like whipping bifurcated tongue speeding in and out. He immediately realised that a snake had coiled round the engine and was inhibiting it from starting.
He immediately called the forest department and the rest was what I had witnessed I could not thank him adequately for having saved me that day.
