\qquadLast Sunday, I was all alone at home and when I am alone, as usual my best companion is a book. I picked up H.G Wells' famous novel, 'Invisible man'. After reading the novel for an hour, I got totally engrossed in the story of how Griffin, a scientist after his research in optics, got the technique of becoming invisible. I was thinking, if I were to get this technique, what all I would be able to do. While I was daydreaming, suddenly I heard the door of my room open. A strange looking man entered and introduced himself as Griffin, the scientist. Immediately my thoughts went to the novel, where a stranger entered the scene, battling through strong wind and heavy snow and carrying little black travelling bag in his thickly gloved hand. I just checked his looks again and he was exactly similar to the character described by H.G. Wells in his novel.

\qquadI was scared and amazed at the same time. He sat down on the chair beside me and tried to calm down my excitement and fears. I asked him about the technique of becoming invisible. He not only described the technique but also demonstrated it. For a minute he became invisible and I could see only his overcoat and hat lying on the table and a pair of his boots under the table. After two minutes or so, he reappeared and I took as much time to recover from the shock I had received. I wanted to learn the technique of becoming invisible but at the same time, I feared what would happen if I did not come back to my original self. Griffin explained me how 'invisibility' can be achieved. Soon both of us were invisible to each other.

\qquadWe went to a famous restaurant and had a sumptuous lunch and of course without paying a penny. Then I requested my guest to help me to provide the poor and needy, with food and other necessities. That evening we fed a number of hungry men, women and children and provided them with woollens and blankets. And the joy that I saw on their faces is inexplicable. Since we did this while remaining invisible, many of them thanked God, others said that it was a miracle and still others felt that it might be the task of philanthropist. It was getting dark and we came back home. Griffin said goodbye and vanished.
