Dey wasn’t s friend actually , but, I knew him very well . I was HR head for this company and one afternoon I was told to terminate his services as the senior manager. “Boss wants him out by 6 pm” , I was ordered. I said that I will not do this arbitrarily. Must have sufficient reason. “Invent the reason then” quipped the executive director.
I called for the employee’s appraisal records for previous 5 years and found that he had been appraised above satisfactory level consistently. He had actually been promoted in between . I found no rhyme and reason in dismissing him as we weren’t even downsi

I tend to try and listen to my friends to be able for them to find out what they want or to get settled with some disturbing things that happened to them. It's how therapy helped me in a lot of cases. Listening and the right questions.
When I have time, I offer help with moving or being a furniture truck with my car.
I don’t give as much money as I used to, because that didn’t go well at some times.
But I still offer hospitality or free German lessons to some who seem to be able to appreciate it. A few days ago I helped someone to apply for a job and internet use connected to the job offer.
Was part of a training for a children’s national phone helpline.
I used to put coins in public bathrooms on the side of the sink and imagined how someone would find them who just needed those Euros to pay the parking machine. :-)
Best random acts of kindness are those where both sides keep wondering whether something nice found a person to enjoy it. Like flowers on a door mat of an elderly single person. Etc.

My best friend lives in a PG in Ahmedabad. I've never lived in a pg or a hostel but I know how life of a hosteler is. I know you guys are always broke. Lol no offense :p
Anyway, my friend broke her phone on her birthday xD When she told me about it, I laughed really hard! :D But then she gave me a dirty look which made me quiet :p
She was already broke, she wanted to go have dinner with her friends, and now her phone added up to the expense. She couldn't ask her parents for money for reasons unknown.
The phone service would cost 2500 so I gave her 1500. But this is not how I helped! I helped her by not asking for the birthday treat. I didn't ask for a birthday treat from my best friend. This is how I helped and I'm proud of it :p
Though I got the treat later :D
I had a friend in my school days. She is from a poor family. One day she wore a new skirt and top . She told me that her mom stitch this dress using her old Saree.
She: “How is my new dress?”
Me: “ you are looking so beautiful in this dress..!”
After our lunch we went to wash our hands but there was a large queue in front of the tap.
At the next moment a boy trampling the border of her skirt and it was torn badly.
She started to cry and said me: “Mom will scold me.. She didn't even have enough money to buy me a new dress .. What will do?”
I felt so sorry about her.
She ashamed of enter the class with that dress.
I was thinking about ways to make her happy.
Suddenly I got an idea. I made her sit on a bench and told her: “I'll come back within 5 minutes.”
I ran out of the school gate, there was a tailoring shop close to our school. I bought a needle and some thread. Went back to her and sewed the skirt. After that she had smile on her face. Next day she came to the class and said, her mom wants to meet the good girl who helped her daughter.
After that incident we became thick friends.
