It was a cloudy that day, a sober evening when we went on a venture to the forest. On spur of moment, the clouds became darker and there was the clashing sound of thunder and a streak of lightening. It was like a supernatural battle being fought up in the skies where no mortal dared to compete. There was a gale and the air smelt of wet mud when it started to pour.
Me and my mates seeked for shelter only to find an abandoned shack. There were four of us, Wilson, David, my little brother George and me and we were victims of this catastrophic speculation of a storm.
Things began to get worse, the roof of the cabana we were in started to give away and the windows started swaying
expeditiously.
The petrifying Storm toughened, we were on the brink of anxiety, that is when assured my friends that the darkest hour is just before dawn. The darkest hour had come. All four walls of the shack crumbled and all of us were terrified. We rushed out to seek sanctuary, unfortunately we were in the middle of nowhere as the storm had completely wiped out all the vegetation.
For a moment we thought we were doomed, but serendipity shone up on us and the twister vanished into the blue, the clouds disappeared and the storm subsided only to result in the most beautiful rainbow I have seen in ages.
Our venture was complete, and we had just experienced the extreme conditions of war and peace in the world of nature.
