Memorable Encounter
While returning from Mumbai, my train got delayed by 10 hours. It was 9 pm. Suddenly, a lady in a white saree came next to me. I thought maybe this was one of those paranormal incidents that I was about to experience.
However, I was completely wrong.To my surprise, she called me and asked if I was hungry. This made me embarrassed since it was because of my hunger growls having not eaten the entire day. She offered to take me to a restaurant nearby to which I complied happily.
When we entered the restaurant, the lady introduced me as her son to the owner who gave me a hearty welcome. The food was delicious. Certain side dishes became complimentary for me, due to the acquaintance. While eating she told me her son had passed away last year, after which she shifted to Mumbai. Every night she would distribute food to the children on the station, which is when she noticed me today.
I did not know how to repay her kindness. I promised to visit her when I came back again, which made her very happy. This delayed train schedule gave me the most memorable day of my life.
