Answer:
The clerk at reception desk of Hotel Bhagsu informed him that, he will be given two candles as electricity supply was not regular, due to workers strike. Similarly, he was told that two buckets of water will be made available to him, as water supply was disrupted due to landslide in the area.
The above is from Rohinton Mistry’s (born 1952) work ‘Running Water’, which is a travelogue of his journey starting from Delhi and ending at Dharmsala. The hotel he stayed in temporarily was named ‘Bhagsu’ meaning ‘running water’ in local dialect and so, he decided to name his work ‘Running Water’.
