The main causes of his invasion in India were:

1.He was anxious to conquer central Asia. For this he wanted a lot of money to organize a well–equipped army. India was quite rich, he could easily get money by his invasions.

2. Indian temples were depositories of great wealth and the economic and ideological centres of gravity for the Hindus. He wanted to destroy the will  power of the Hindus by destroying their temples .

3.To declare religious supremacy.

4.The weak political conditions of India encouraged him to attack  India 17 times in 25 years.
