Answer:

FUNCTIONS= The main functions of the nasal cavity are the moderate the temperature of the inhaled air, to moisturise it, and to filter out dust and other particles.

Explanation:

During inhalation, air circulates in the nasal cavity which causes the temperature to be raised or lowered (depending on the ambient temperature of air around the person) to near body temperature.

The nasal mucous membranes moisturise the air as it passes through.

The nasal mucous membranes and hairs (vibrissae) trap dust and other particulate matter, and cilia transfer the trapped particles to the pharynx from where it passes to the digestive system.

IMPORTANCE=The nasal cavity is the inside of your nose. It is lined with a mucous membrane that helps keep your nose moist by making mucus so you won't get nosebleeds from a dry nose. There are also little hairs that help filter the air you breathe in, blocking dirt and dust from getting into your lungs.
