Nasim is the owner of a piece of land measuring 250 m x 100 m. He divides it among his
children. The eldest one gets 250 m x 40 m, the middle one gets 150 m x 60 m and the
oungest one gets 100 m x 60 m. Find the areas and perimeters of Wasim's piece of land and
also of the three pieces of land his 3 children got.
Why do you think the total perimeter of the children's pieces of land is more than the
perimeter of Wasim's piece of land though the total area of the children's pieces of land
remains equal to the area of Wasim's piece of land?
