Answer:

Na₂SO₄(aq.)+BaCl₂(aq.)  ------->        BaSO₄(s)     +2NaCl(aq.)

                                                        (white ppt)

this is the balanced Double Displacement reaction of the compounds given in the question due to the exchange of ions

one of the important condition for the reaction to take place is -

both the compound must be present in aqueous state

_____Please note that the formulae of the compounds sodium sulphate and barium chloride are given wrong in the question. Please follow the formulae as provided in the answer otherwise the valency won't be satisfied.

Na₂SO₄(aqueous) + BaCl₂(aqueous)  =>    BaSO₄(solid) + 2NaCl(aqueous)

As seen in the above reaction, both compounds have to be in their aqueous state for the reaction to take place.

Also, this IS a DOUBLE DISPLACEMENT reaction.
