The density of water does change according to the hypothesis of Nathan but that only happens when the water rises from 0 to 3 degrees.
But after the 4th degree it changes and the density starts to reduce as the temperature goes up and hence it is better to investigate why the water is at its highest density at 4 degrees celcius.
