The number of boxes he can pack in his 8-hour shift is 100.

Given: Nathan packs 25 boxes in 2 hours.

To Find: The number of boxes he can pack in his 8-hour shift.

Solution:

  • We can easily solve numerical by applying the unitary method.
  • It is to be kept in mind that the amount or value to be found by the unitary method must always be kept on the right-hand side.

It is said that Nathan packs 25 boxes in 2 hours. And we need to find the number of boxes can he pack in his 8-hour shift.

The number of boxes packed in 2 hours = 25

The number of boxes packed in 1 hour = 25/2

The number of boxes packed in 8 hours = ( 25 / 2 ) × 8

                                                                  = 200 / 2

                                                                  = 100 boxes

Hence, the number of boxes he can pack in his 8-hour shift is 100.
