Stone pelting is considered the national game of Kashmir by many people.

In the local language, stone pelting is termed as "Kanni Jung".
In stone pelting people throw stones on the Indian army and police to express their anger when they try to control the crowd.
The people who throw stones are known as "Sangbaaz" or "Pathraw".
Other popular games of Jammu and Kashmir are cricket, football, basketball, etc.
