Explanation:

Any registered party that fulfils one of the following three conditions can be recognized as a National Party.

i) It should win 2% of seats in the Lok Sabha at least in 3 different states.

ii) In addition to 4 Lok Sabha seats, it should poll 6% of votes in four states at a General Election to Lok Sabha or Legislative Assembly.

iii) The party should be recognized as a state party in 4 or more states.

Indian National Congress (INC)

Communist Party of India (CPI)

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)
