National Water Academy, a centre of excellence in training and capacity building in water resource, is located at Pune in Maharashtra.
It was previously known as the Central Training Unit. It is a training institute set up by the Central Water Commission under the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India.
It is mainly headed by a Chief Engineer who has to report to the Chairman and under him, there are five specialised directorates.
