Answer: Natural Disaster Prevention Methods

Explanation (composition form): Natural disasters may come in many forms (e.g. tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions etc...). Unfortunately, primary effects such as deaths occur due to the loss of protection in a particular area.

It is difficult to reach the farmers in remote areas, since most of them are unknown. If these farmers are located by the coast, a good prevention measure would be a TSUNAMI SHELTER. These are pieces of infrastructure elevated 10s of metres high above the ground so that the tsunami will not kill people.  I recommend that you search an image of a tsunami shelter (since i cannot paste here).

Earthquakes are another problem which shatter infrastructure and result in poverty. Farmers should be relocated if they live in a tectonically dangerous and active area. They could also be funded in aid so they could rebuild their home. Crops are minimally harmed by earthquakes.

Drought is the loss of water/rain in a particular area. Since water is vital for life, the farmer will have problems to cultivate crops, rear animals and have enough water to keep himself alive. A good method to reduce drought problems is by drilling boreholes deep into the rock below, in hope to find aquifers and pump up water. If the farmer is located not far away from seawater, a reverse osmosis plant could be built in order to turn salty water to potable freshwater by a process called desalinization.

As for suicide, i don't see any link between the subject and suicide. I hope you have cleared your question! :)
