natural gas is found mostly on the top of the mineral oil in the nature, why?

you must be knowing that mineral oil is mainly the crude petroleum oil...It contains mixtures of alkanes, alkenes and alkynes hydrocarbons. And natural gas is also an alkane hydrocarbon (CH4). Now, u should know that, natural gas is also a part of that crude oil only but the only difference is that crude oil is in liquid state whereas natural gas is in the gaseous state...It happens as follows,,,
Since crude oil is found deep inside the earth, trapped in rocks, they are subjected to excessive heat...This heat causes some volatile parts of the crude oil to evaporate...Thus, these particles that evaporate due to excessive heat, just over the petroleum oil, are only the natural gas,,,Thanks for the awesome question :D !

Natural gas is lighter and much less denser than mineral oil therefore it floats on top of it.
