natural gas too is a fossil fuel but it is preffered over coal and oil. why?

it is preferred because it produced a smokeless flame which completely bruns without leaving any residue and is a reneable gas produced from animal and plant waste hence nothing to worry about excess consumption wheareas this is just opp with fossils i.e they produce smoke and are non renewable
