Nature always favours cross-pollination because it produces new varieties of improved traits and morphology, healthier offsprings with better adaptability and seeds that are more viable and healthy.

Cross-pollination is the type of pollination where pollens of one flower are transmitted to the pistil of a different flower. This results in increased genetic variation and development of new features produced by events of random recombination.

Nature has favoured cross-pollination through unisexuality, dichogamy or self-sterility.
