(i) Resources are a function of human activities,

(ii) Human beings themselves are essential components of resources.

(iii) They transform material available in our environment into resources and use them.

For example river is a natural resource but river become a resource when its water is used for irrigation or power production

Resources aren 't free gifts of nature as is assumed by many. Resources are finite and should be used judiciously.Due to this ideology, many problemds like overexploitation, ineuitable disctribution of resources and global ecological crises ike global warming, ozone depletion etc have arisen.Moreover,

• They are limited and non-renewable,

• Human beings are itself resources,

• They convert materials available in the envt: into resources, and

• Their indiscriminate use will cause a lot of problems.
