Gandhi launched the Civil Disobedience Movement because Lord Irwin ignored Gandhi’s eleven demands including the abolition of the salt tax.

 \large \underline \red{Features  \: of  \: the \:  Movement:}

1. Gandhi began his salt march from Sabarmati and reached Dandi on 6th April where he manufactured salt and broke the law.

2. Gandhi walked for 24 days covering 10 miles per day and thousands followed him to break the salt law. In other parts of the country also such march was held and salt law was broken.

3. Foreign clothes were boycotted again and peasants refused to pay revenue.

4. Forest people also broke the forest laws by entering the Reserved Forests to get wood and graze cattle.

 \large \underline{Explanation} =  > : Civil Disobedience was different from Non-cooperation because not only people refused to cooperate with British, they also broke the laws.
