Reproduction is most important for continuation of human race .

➡️We know the reproduction takes place by thr fusion of male and female gamates .

➡️ Adolescents become capable of reproduction when their testes and ovaries begin to produce gamates .

➡️ In females , the reproductive phase begins around 10-12 years of age and lasts till the age of approximately 45-50 years .

➡️ The ova begins to mature with the onset of adolescence .

➡️One ovum matures and is released by one of the ovaries once in about 28-30 days .

➡️ During ovulation the uterine wall becomes thick so as to receive a fertilized egg which leads to pregnancy .

➡️ If fertilization does not occur the released egg and thickened lining of the uterus along with its blood vessels are shed off . This causes bleeding in women which is called pregnancy .

➡️ At 46 to 50 years of age , the menstrual cycle stops . Stoppage of menstruation is termed as ' menopause ' .

➡️ The above changes in women show nature's wonderful phenomena .
