Naveen and praveen borrowed rs 42000 and rs 55000 respectively for 7/2 years at the same rate of interest.If praveen has to pay rs 3640 more than naveen,find the rate of interest.

NAVEEN

P1=42000

R1=x%

T1=7/2

SI1

=42000×x×7/2/100

=210×x×7

PRAVEEN

P2=54000

R2=x%

T2=7/2

SI2=54000×x×7/2/100

210×x×7+3640=270×x×7

3640=7x(270-210)

3640=7x(60)

364=42x

182=21x

x=9%
