  • ➟ Area of ∆ ZWA + Area of rectangle ZYBA + Area of ∆ YBX.

  • ➟  \: \frac{1}{2}  \times c  \: \times  \: h \:  +  \: b  \: \times h \:  +  \:  \frac{1}{2}  \: d \:  \times  \: h

  • ➟ \:  \frac{1}{2}  \: ch \:  +  \: bh \:  +  \:  \frac{1}{2}  \: dh

  • ➟ \:  \frac{1}{2}  \: h \: (c \:  +  \: 2b \:  +  \: d)

  • ➟  \: \frac{1}{2}  \: h \: (c \:  +  \: 2b \:  +  \: a \:  -  \: b \:  -  \: c) \:  =  \:  \frac{1}{2}  \: h \: (a \:  +  \: b)
