Solution :-
(1) a)
→ Initial price of shirt = Rs. 80
→ Decreased price of shirt = Rs. 60
So,
→ Decreased price = 80 - 60 = Rs. 20
then,
→ Price decreased in % = (20 * 100)/80 = 25%
(b)
→ Initial marks in a test = 20
→ New marks in a test = 30
So,
→ Increased marks = 30 - 20 = 10
then,
→ Marks increased in % = (10 * 100)/20 = 50%
(2)
→ Initial price of petrol = Rs. 1 / litre
→ Price of petrol today = Rs. 52 per / litre .
So,
→ Priced gone up = 52/1 = 52 times .
then,
→ Required % = (52 * 100)/1 = 5200%
